Until September 2015
Hotel Okura
No real event, but the last chance to see what Tokyo was like in the 60s, before it gets demolished and rebuild, just in time for the 2020 Olympics. Architect and artists managed to combine elements of “wafu” (Japanese style) and “youfu” (Western style), taking design elements dating back 400 years ago and modern elements, creating the perfect balance between a traditional ryokan and a modern luxury hotel. Go and see the architecture and artworks, before it is too late, or enjoy a taste of the 60s at the hotels bar.
