Mitama Matsuri

Summer time means festival time in Japan and therefore, festivals are held virtually everywhere in Japan. A festival to honour the spirits of the dead, Mitama Matsuri will be held at the Yasukuni Shrine, a rather politically complex location. The road leading to the shrine will be lined with 30000 paper lanterns and stalls offering food and drinks to the visitors for the 4 days the festival will be held.
